Vanilla 5x Alcohol Extract Organic Essential Oil

Vanilla planifolia
£25.49

Benefits & How To Use

Vanilla 5x Alcohol Extract Organic Vanilla planifolia (2930 – 3ml)

Vanilla’s rich, sweet, comforting scent is wonderful for custom perfumes and body lotions, especially for romantic blends. Both men and women love its aroma. It is useful for children to ease home sickness and brighten their mood. Vanilla has the ability to evoke warm memories, calm the emotions, and ease tension and grief. Try creating a delightful synergy by blending it with spicy essential oils such as ginger, nutmeg, or cardamom.

What does 5x (alc 75%) mean? The Vanilla is obtained via solvent extraction using alcohol (ethanol). ‘5x’ refers to the concentration of the product: It means that you need 5kg of Vanilla to get 1kg of extract. In order to allow the Vanilla to flow, another measure of alcohol (75%) is added at the end of the production process.

Interesting fact: Vanilla is native to Mexico and the Caribbean, although the main production now comes from tropical areas around the Indian Ocean. The insects which pollinate Vanilla in its native Mexico to not exist elsewhere, so all the Vanilla outside the Mexico area is pollinated by hand! This is one of the reasons for the high cost of this precious oil.

This is a pure therapeutic-quality certified organic aromatherapy essential oil from Madagascar, and is obtained from the Husks.

I find Oshadhi oils to be simply exquisite. Their fragrances are so rich and full bodied. It is easy to immediately discern the difference their insistence on extraction by slow distillation makes.
