Helichrysum italicum from Corsica contains a higher proportion of neryl acetate which is helpful for everyday creakiness and discomfort, and also italidones which are especially for effective for skin healing. In contrast, the oil produced in the Balkans has a higher content of sesquiterpenes, which have an anti-inflammatory effect. If you are just getting started with Helichrysum we suggest trying one of these. We also stock this oil as a dilution in Jojoba which is ideal if you want to use the oil straight from the bottle or are trying Helichrysum for the first time.
The other types of Helichrysum such as Helichrysum Bracteiferum, Helichrysum Splendidum and Helichrysum Gymnocephalum are higher in 1,8-cineol which is beneficial for the respiratory system.
