Bergamot FCF Distilled Organic Citrus Bergamia (1176 – 10ml)

Bergamot has a sweet, fruity and slightly spicy aroma with antiseptic and cooling qualities. It is a marvellously cheering and balancing oil, which can help pave the way for a restful night. The naturally expressed oil is ‘phototoxic’, which means that if you put oil on the skin and then go into direct sunlight it will affect the skin’s pigmentation.

What does FCF mean?FCF stands for ‘furocoumarin-free’which means that the oil does not contain furocoumarins (the components that cause photosensitivity and phototoxicity). In some Bergamot oils the furocoumarins are removed however distilled Bergamot oils are naturally free of these components as they have a low volatiliy and therefore do not appear in the distilled oil.

This is an expressed oil from which the furo-coumarins have been removed.
